Isabella is coming!
Ok...so today has been hot...well not so hot but it's a lot hotter when there is no air conditioning in your house and these nasty wheat bugs and green flying bugs just stick to you. The four of us had a picnic at the park after church and played frisbee. Yeah...that was pretty fun....minus the fact when Dan would throw it where I would have to run and jump. He knows I'm competitive...we have this point system....and I have to be frisbee champion. Dan did get the title although, I think I really deserved like 5 extra points for the mad dash and leap I made for one of my catches so therefore I am CHAMPION!
We then came home and the girls were so sticky and hot that we let them turn on the sprinkler and play in it. The neighbors joined too. When it was time to come in and take showers, Madison looked at me and told me she didn't need one...she was already wet. I told her we still needed to take the kind where we use soap and shampoo. They got in their shower....they now take showers....so exciting...no more bending down, and then Dan read to them and they passed out in less than 5 minutes. That was pretty amazing for Madison.
I'm hoping this weather stays nice at least for two more days. Dan and I plan to go down to Cambridge on Tuesday to go punting. Tomorrow...a day where Dan needs to bring the crib in from the garage and clean the bird cage before I "accidentally" let him fly out the window because I'm so OVER having this bird....I know....I have been saying that for awhile. I think we are just not pet people. We like animals but the whole taking care of it thing...like I need pet to clean up after and feed. Next time Dan suggests a new pet, my answer...NO! I think I need to record myself saying this...since I do tend to cave. We have had so many animals since being married....a mouse, guinea pig, 2 cats (ok...but one was seriously crazy and suicidal), salt water fish (I hate remembering how much money we spent on that thing) a dog and now this bird. The only one I regret giving away is the dog. Well, and our mouse was pretty special...I never held it but it was out traveling buddy from Utah to Virginia Beach....then he died a couple weeks after we moved in...poor Squeak.
