Is she asleep?

We were driving home from school today and after our typical conversations of me asking how their day went, I asked Madison if Isabella was asleep.

"I don't really know mum."

"Well are her eyes closed?"

"Yes, but that doesn't mean she's asleep. Look, my eyes (she shuts her eyes and I can see her through the rear view mirror) are closed and I'm awake. And I can even have my eyes opened and be asleep (she starts snoring).

"Thanks smarty butt."

Hannah laughs, "HAHA, mum called you a smarty butt!"
