I'm booked! I have my flights and I'm leaving on Monday for Salt Lake City. I'll get to spend some time with my sister and her family, my other sister and her husband and I'm super excited to get a picture with Bellies and her great great Grandpa! The other girls have a picture with him and in his garden and was a little bummed perhaps I wouldn't get one with her and him. We'll spend a few days there and then head to Medford and see the rest of my family. I'm flying out of Medford on the 15th so it's not too long but long enough.
And bonus...my mom is coming back with us for awhile to hang out. It's a surprise for the girls. They are going to pee their pants from excitement when I come home with her.
It's going to be so nice to have her to travel around with and then have Dan home on the weekends and be able to do a little traveling with him. YAY! I'm sooooo excited!

YAY!
Bellies and I are taking a trip back to the states. I'm so excited to see my family! We're going to fly into SLC and then my mom and I are going to drive to Medford and then I'll fly out of there...and what's even more exciting....I think my mom might come back with me! Double YAY!
It's here!
Bellie's passport has finally made it! I'm so excited! Not only does this mean I get to go back to the states...we get to travel outside the UK!

March and it's craziness
I think that everyone was born in March! We've had birthday parties galore this month. It's been fun and we've had tears since we've had to miss some since we had some sick kids. Saturday, Madison had a birthday party...and so my friend and I took our girls to the Easter egg hunt that was going on at the base. The girls all had a blast and were able to get their faces painted and gather a whole bunch of eggs. Hannah did not want to stand by the Easter bunny and so I didn't bother getting Bellies out of her carrier.
My girls were then super excited since we were having one of our friends spend the night. The girls had a blast, we ate pasta, watched a movie and ate sweets. Barbieville was made downstairs in the lounge and it brought back memories of my Barbie playing days where we would convert a whole room into a city for our Barbies.
Other exciting news...Dan did his last night string on the watch! YAY! I was never bothered with the watch schedule but it has been Dan's time to get off for months...so I'm excited for him. It'll be kind of weird with him having a Monday-Friday normal schedule again. And he's taking 2 weeks off. That will be nice....and it will be nice to have a husband who can take leave once in awhile again.
And will this stomach bug ever go away? Oh Spring...please come.
Snow is a possibility on Wednesday...seriously???!!! I have forgotten what it is like to go outside and just know it's going to be warm. California days seem so long ago.....
I leave for a minute
and I come back into the room to this:
This is what older sisters do to you when you are not really able to defend yourself....she loved it though.

Parent/Teacher Consultations
It was that time of year again....I was able to meet with my girls' teachers and see how they are doing....like I told them....AWFUL!
Not really, Hannah is doing great. They scale them and hope to have them reach 6's by the time they leave foundation. Hannah is at 6 -8's so no problem there since she's already there and will only go up. She was low on one category which was the social development. The teacher explained to me that even though Hannah is not really a shy person in small groups and tends to be the leader, she doesn't participate very much when in the large class setting - as in asking questions. I guess though she's coming out of that shell since she's gaining the confidence she is a smart little girl and they are working on story lines and Hannah is wanting to share her ideas with the class. She's a very imaginative little girl and she gets so animated when telling a story. She's reading great and is using her phonics so well! I'm so proud of my Hanners. She was checked off on all the sounds that they were wanting them to know by heart and she's one of the younger ones in her class! So proud of my baby girl!
Madison is doing excellent. She's like me a lot and gets bored with doing the same thing and having to write down all the steps. The teacher was telling me how they are suppose to use this number line thing and showed me how they used it, I saw and instantly told the teacher...I can see why she doesn't like to do it....it's too time consuming for her. She is a star at reading and math....addition, subtraction, multiplication and division and really enjoys writing stories and sciences. She's doing so well and keeping up so nicely with everyone and she is nearly the youngest ones in her class....I think one other girl beats her by a couple of days. She's so competitive...I think it's good she's in a class where the majority are older (the class is Year 1 and Year 2 split.)
A little side note that has to be remembered....Madison is in class with our neighbor and they are really good friends. As I was picking up the girls from our neighbors (she brought them home since my meetings weren't done after hers were, have I mentioned how WONDERFUL my neighbors are?) and we were talking about the girls. My friend had mentioned how the teacher had showed her the writing work her daughter was actually doing. She was so impressed and made note since before it was apparently Madison who was writing for her. K would draw the pictures and Madison would write the story turns out. Us moms were completely unaware thinking the occasional work we would get with K's drawings and Madison's writing were something they did together during Friday Fun or something. No no, it was on school work they were suppose to be doing independently. Nice! Way to be resourceful right? K is in Year 1 and Madison was just trying to keep her up. Silly girls!
Hannah's class had an "I am Special" book they made. Each of the kids had a picture and underneath it they wrote by they were special. Want to guess what Hannah's said??!!
"I am special because I am beautiful and I help my mum clean my room."
Yeah, she's really lacking confidence.....
The teacher and I had a good laugh about that one. Doesn't help when your kids are always told how cute they are and they are like Hannah and remember and retain that information. The other day we were eating bagels in the coffee shop on base since we were done being sick with the stomach flu and that was just about it we could handle. 6 English men come in and they are kind of not the ones you think that would say anything since they are all kind of gruff and scruffy worker types (I don't mean any offence by it just trying to kind of describe how they looked) but they couldn't stop looking at my three girls (not the creepy kind of way by any means) and remarking how beautiful little girls they were and how they they all looked so much alike. Then mentioned how they all look like their mum (yeah us mom's like compliments too) and how dad is going to be caring a rifle when they are teenagers. Bellies can put a smile on a grumpy man's face by her cheesy smile and dinosaur roar (she's very vocal these days). I love my girls. They are such wonderful girls who put a smile on my face every day. Even their smart comments make me laugh when they can't see...even though I know they see me smiling when I turn my head. I'm trying to be better about that.

Back!!!
80's clothes...can you believe they have made their way back? Neon colors, tapered jeans with slits, shoulder pads...WHY???!!!
I only mention this since I will be needing an 80s outfit. I am pretty excited to see how ridiculous this is going to look and Dan too (I so just thought about the fact Dan needs to dress up too!) The girls' school it having a club tropicana night with a George Michael tribute! YAY! George Michael reminds me of California beaches and how my sitter and mom and dad's friend, Beth, like LOVED him. I think that's pretty much all I listened to when I was 3-4 since I know like so many of his songs. And how could I not be excited about a night out with Dan???!!!
Oh and he's on his second to last string of the watch....I told him he needs to take like 3 weeks off! I'm hoping he does it. He needs it....he's been on this schedule for nearly a year....and burnt out. He needs some time to veg....and take me somewhere....hmmm...like Italy?

Some day....
We will not have one sick person in our home....
I enjoyed this weekend....it was relaxing...we had kids in and out of the house....and they are kids I like so I don't mind them in and out of my house. It's so nice when your girls have good friends that they just learn to work things out by themselves and you only see them occasionally when you're in the kitchen getting snacks ready or they're all downstairs talking to me while I make dinner. We've really lucked out living by such good people. It's so funny to have them walk in and say, "I smelled tacos!" And so I make them one and they are devouring them and telling me how much they like American food....and it cracks me up since Hannah wants to always go over to their house to have sausages.
Sunday, Bellies still had her virus thing and so we tagged along with Dan and the girls and watched them practice t-ball from in the car. We had a little picnic outside and enjoyed it until the wind started picking up and sitting there was making us quite chilly. So in the car we went and the girls and Dan played once again. I wish I had my camcorder...Hannah does this funny pose with her right hand on her leg after she throws the ball and Madison is just Madison...jumping all over the place. They both did quite well but I have to admit, Hannah has the coordination down. She was so cute to watch. Then we came home, friends came over to play and I cleaned the house. It was so nice to have a clean house for like 12 hours.
This morning we woke up to a stomach bug, Madison, Dan and I had it and we were laying down, by the toilet, or I was mopping or cleaning up a bathroom. Isabella was quite good considering all her mom wanted to do was just lay down and sleep. (Poor Dan, he had to go back to work today and it's a night string.) I had been feeling cramping but hadn't lost it until 2 and then it all went down....or rather out I guess. Then Hannah came home, thank goodness for friends who pick up your kids, and she was feeling fine. Then she lost it and I have just finished up cleaning the stairs and hall upstairs. Good times. I'm just hoping it's all done, Bellies will skip it and we can go on tomorrow with a normal day with the girls home....I can't let them go to school just in case. We're kind of sad we're going to miss the wedding tomorrow...Madison was the grandma of the groom and Hannah was going to wear a big hat and pretty dress, but I know I'm just going to want to veg and watch movies with my girls after today. Next year...we still have their concert and Easter church service so they are still looking forward to those things before this term wraps up. I can't wait until summer!

This kid!
Isabella has been struck again with a virus. This time it's Roseola. Nice! The other day she had a mild fever and I gave her some Tylenol and she was good. Then she had these massive blow outs like 3-4 times a day and I was just like Holy Moly Cow kid...what's the deal. Friday she popped out these red dots all over and so I took her in and the doctor said she had Roseola. The other girls never had it so I was kind of freaking out before going to see the doctor since she was breaking out and I hadn't changed soaps or her food at all. And so we've been house bound once again. Nice! Poor kiddo just got over her ear infection just a couple of weeks ago...and now this. Things could be worse....but I feel so bad for my Bellies. Luckily it hasn't affected her that much besides the pooping issue, let me just say she is one of the cleanest babies out there with 3-4 baths a day, but she looks awful. So for now....we like to call her "Spots."

Look what I did!
I came downstairs this morning to see if the girls had breakfast. Dan had fed Hannah so I go to check on Madison.
"Good morning Madison."
"Mom, look I made myself breakfast! I mixed Trix with Cocoa Puffs! Totally awesome! Would you like me to make you a bowl?"
"No thanks sweetie! I am not that hungry, you know I have to wait a little until after I wake up to eat."
"Yeah, well all you need to do is make half Trix half Cocoa Puffs and then you can eat it later."
"Thanks, I might do that." (I chose to eat a yogury instead....the thought made my stomach turn....fruity with chocolate...no thanks!

60 degrees!
I just would like to make a note that is was 60 degrees according to my car yesterday....AND the sun was out. It was a beautiful day to run errands and take a little stroll with Bellies.
And why is I go to the BX to buy mascara and $80 later I come out with a bag full of stuff and a new laundry hamper and tupperware?
The girls decided to skip out on swimming yesterday, it was beautiful and they wanted to ride their bikes....how could I say no? And so they did and then everyone came inside when the sun was going down. 4 other girls in our home, playing mums and dads and Bellies was even involved. She was cool with it for a little bit and then wanted to hang out with me while I made dinner.
Madison then found a thin mattress in my closet that goes with the little spring cot we have....I then hear thumping down the stairs....that's right....they were going down the stairs with the mattress....I was praying none of them broke their heads off. Thumps, occasional "ow's" since their bums would hit hard sometimes and laughter....then it was pretty hilarious when all 6 (we lost one since she needed to go home for dinner) were on the mattress trying to scoot it down from the top. Friends left without injuries thank goodness....
My girls were out as soon as they hopped in bed. It had been a fun filled 3 1/2 hours after school. I love it when my house has chaos in it....especially when my house is all cleaned, laundry put away and the only mess is in the girls' room that I can just shut the door to and dinner dishes, which really wasn't that bad since I like to use paper plates....yes you environmentalist probably hate that I go through so many plates...I figure I'm saving on water though. I then had time to fold the laundry and watch part of a movie....Dan came home after 9:15 and I was exhausted and so we went to bed which in the end was good since Bellies decided to wake up every hour and Madison had a nightmare so she came and slept in our bed. I'm thinking we need a king size bed next furniture purchase...especially when you're the person in the middle! It's a little too much love.

You're only 4!
This morning as I was getting the girls ready for school, I asked Hannah to bring down a hair brush and ponies. I was brushing her hair and was about to put it up in a pony (I did it last week and she loved it) when she frantically said, "No!" I asked her why she didn't want it up. "Because Jake Smith doesn't like my hair in a pony...he likes it down....Hello!!!"
She's been crushing on Jake since the beginning of the year....and I need to mention....he's in Year 6!

They don't have a father....
We had to get dentist appointments done...and in all honesty...my girls are just like me in that they look forward to going to the dentist. Madison and Hannah both came home cavity free (how I do not know) and Madison got sealants put on her two adult molars. I came out after talking to the dentist and hearing everyone telling me how much hair Bellies has....and then it was followed by a "no way" when I told them she was only 6 months...and we headed out to the waiting room so the girls could finish up. There was another person waiting out there with her two children....I put Bellies face out on my lap when the lady looked at me and said, "Is there even a father to that child? She looks just like you!"
I laughed and told her that I get that a lot. Then Hannah came out....it's funny how when she's just with me and they don't see the dad people see the resemblance between us. She couldn't believe how much the two of them looked a like....and then Madison came out. She was puzzled with the fact that all three of my girls share so many similarities. I see all the differences....but they are my kids. Madison heard the woman and what came out of Madison's mouth?....
"No! We're not all twins!"
Thanks Madison for clearing that one up.
And can I just mention how I find it sometimes annoying how Madison can read....she's reading over my shoulder correcting me....seriously annoying!
And I was so kidding about the not having a father part....

Happy Mother's Day
Mother's Day is in March here in the UK, so I am lucky to get two special days. The girls had made super cute cards at school and were so excited to be able to finally give them to me today. Madison also made this super cute tissue paper flower for me....it's in my room. Dan had to work this morning so the girls made me breakfast....a bowl of honey nut chex and a glass of mango juice. I was feeling pretty special. I did have to kind of laugh....who do they call first thing at 6:30 am to tell her Happy Mother's Day...my mom! Seriously???!!!
And so we stayed home and have cleaned the house a bit. Hannah threw up in my car (she was really good) as I'm panicking thinking PLEASE DON'T THROW UP IN MY CAR, she made it all in Isabella's special blanket. Poor Bellies....we are washing it as I type this up. I thought it was kind of funny she was taking a nap Saturday but I figured she was just super exhausted still from her London trip. No no....she had something, we dropped off a birthday present at the party she was suppose to go to and then came home. I was getting everything out of the car and when I came in there was no Hannah in sight. I called her name and she replied, "I'm in bed."
And so she slept all day, with a low grade fever and then slept right through the night. It was pretty weird for her....but today she is feeling a lot better...she still looks really pale so we are cooped up in our house for the day....and I got to clean out my car....it didn't get throw up in it but I still felt the urge to clean it just in case.
So clean car, almost clean house, Isabella is happy drinking her bottle (she can hold it all by herself now!) and the older girls are upstairs playing mums and dads....which really should be called mums since there isn't anybody playing the dad part. The iPod was found and all the songs we've added to our iTunes have been added. Justin Bieber (thanks Shannon for encouraging the Justin craze) has been blaring from the docking station since 9:30 am. I really can't say anything...my parents let me blast NKOTB and put up those posters all around my room with all other sorts of paraphernalia all over.
And have I mentioned how super adorable my girls are? Isabella is sitting there just smiling at me....better get off this computer and play with my Bellies.
(Yes, Bellies is without pants...she likes to put her feet in her mouth and that's just easier without pants in the way.)
Apparently, Madison likes putting Bellies feet in her mouth as well.....

A day out
Dan offered to watch Bellies while I went down to London with 2 friends and had a blast. The girls (we have a total of 9 girls between us all) were down in London for a school trip to the science museum so we three took the opportunity of kids in school all day to plan a day for ourselves. Okay...so we really didn't plan but that's what made it kind of fun. I think half way on the the train ride to London, one of them asked, so what are we going to do. And so we did what we wanted, window shopped, ate, walked around in the cold, ate and saw parts of London I would have never thought to go see. We didn't do the typical tourist sites....we went to, okay to be honest I can't even remember the names of the market places but we did go to Smithfield and found out that's where William Wallace was drug by horses (so our history bit of the trip) but then we went to Westfield Centre, and OH MY GOSH....SO nice!!! It is a must do again for shopping. It was nice to have to go up the escalator to go to our level of shopping. The bottom were stores like like, Tiffany and Co...Christian Dior, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo....yeah must be nice....champagne bars where regular malls would have those cell phone kiosks....yeah it was kind of upscale on the ground floor.
And so we went upstairs to Top Shop and checked out clothing possibilities for Club Tropicana (it's a school thing for the adults) and it's amazing...I felt like I was back in time at the age of 6 seeing all those 80s fashions. Going down to London, I always feel like..oh my gosh....I so need to come down here more to catch up on the fashions and I love seeing how people are dressed up...makes me want to dress up again like pre-kid days. And the fact I need to get a tan since the colors that are in are so not good with my pale skin. How I love the big city life...the fast pace, the big buildings, crowded streets with cars and pedestrians, taking the tube....it makes me feel alive. I have so much more energy out there....I could so picture myself if I didn't have any kids (which of course I don't wish but if I didn't) living out in a little flat right in the city. And yet, I married a man who doesn't like the big cities....he is crazy.
So much fun with such fabulous friends.
Oh and the kiddos had a blast at the Science Museum. And they loved the packed lunches...isn't it funny how kids remember the funniest things....they talked about their lunch I had made and how awesome it was and the coach ride. They liked the garden in the museum as well....but really that's all they talked about. It's sometimes like pulling teeth to get any information from them.

7 years
We are like an old married couple....that don't look old of course! I can't believe it....3 beautiful girls, 6 different moves into houses, 4 states, 2 countries, lots of deployments and many good times (one of my favs, driving across country twice...perhaps since we were still childless....well one was in tow but she was contained in the belly). It wasn't like we could really celebrate it....Dan is on the night shift so he's sleeping all day but we did the best we could. Dan came home with some tulips and lilies for me (he was bummed they didn't have roses but I prefer what he got me) and I made him a big breakfast. We ate together, talked and played with Bellies before he had to get some sleep. My day went on and the girls had swimming. I was explaining what day it was to the girls.....
"Do you know what day it is today?"
"Yeah, it's Monday." (M)
"Okay. But the 8th of March is a special day" (B)
"No, it's just a Monday Mum." (M)
"It's your dad and my wedding anniversary."
"You're what?" (H)
"It's like our wedding day birthday." (B)
"Oh, so what did you get?" (M)
"Dad bought me some flowers this morning after work. And then I get to go back to the states so that's kind of like my other present." (B)
"You love flowers so that's a good present from Dad. What did you get dad?" (M)
"I'm getting his car valeted (inside and out cleaned) since his truck is way dirty." (B)
"That's a lame gift!" (M)
"Thanks Madison." (B)
"You should have gotten him chocolates or books or a new computer or something." (M)
"Yeah! Or chocolate chip cookies." (H)
"Hmmmmm....." (B)
And so my present idea was rejected by my kids but Dan is pretty excited to have a super clean truck....so that's all the matters.
The girls had Mc D's, Dan and I had a caesar salad and chicken I made from home and we enjoyed the rest of our night until he had to leave for work. At least I had him home for a little bit. And maybe we're just not big into getting presents....I guess we just figure we'll get something big together like a sweet, alone vacation when my mom comes.

Never ever
I never enter blog giveaways...but SHE has such CUTE dresses. And so I entered.
I also never ever stay up with Dan when he's transitioning but I did last night. 4 am....Isabella woke up at 4:30 am...nice! And so it's going to be a LONG day.
We let the girls stay home from school yesterday. It was a fun and a well needed family day. I went and got a hair cut, then we headed to the other base to find baseball gloves for the girls (Madison wants to do t-ball) and then we ate Taco Bell which is always so scrumptious to me...especially when I'm in constant longing for warm chips and salsa. (What my family really doesn't know is that I'm making the trip back to the states for Mexican food and In-n-Out....not because of my niece) and so I sit here and wait for the phone call that Isabella's passport is in. PLEASE be this week! I want a chimichanga...wait I want to see my family! (I'm so kidding about the Mexican food being first in case you were even questioning my motives.)
Oh and did I mention we had 4 out of 5 days of pure, delightful, gave me so much energy SUNSHINE this last week? Today is questionable if it's going to be sunny...it's trying...heavenly.
She is going to be just gums at this rate.....

Bellies doing what Bellies sometimes enjoys doing......

I asked her to smile pretty...this is what I got....she looks like sunshine with her yellow striped shirt though....

Sippy cups
It has once again started....my cupboard being full of sippy cups and my drawer full of those stoppers. She's been drinking out of one for the last month but she's just so cute. She hasn't quite grasped that she needs to tip it all the way up.
Or...perhaps she just has super powers and can get the juice out like this anyway.....
Either way...she needs to get it....only 6 more months of the bottle......18 more months or less of diapers. The end is near! (I do like the baby stage....it's just I don't like changing diapers that much. Luckily my husband is GREAT at it when he's off!)

6 months
So really it was yesterday she turned 6 months...goodness how the time has flown. She can sit by herself pretty much, she eats pretty much everything (that's chocolate on her face), she rolls all over (at least when she's motivated to get something), she likes to be naked...nappy and all....she likes to think she's musical
She glares

She grunts when something doesn't go the way she wants

She's super lovable! Happy Half Birthday Bellies! Excuse the hair....she had it up in a pony.
